Position Summary
Our fast-growing team is seeking a data infrastructure engineer to join us as we pioneer relationship intelligence. As a core member of our back end engineering team you will be responsible for building, scaling and testing the infrastructure that keep RelateIQ quick, reliable, and delightful to our customers. We're looking for passionate hackers and clever engineers to take on large-scale projects as part of our lean team.

Core Responsibilities
As to be expected in a fast-moving environment, the scope of this position will evolve continuously. Comfort with ambiguity is required. Below is a partial representation of what may be included in the Data Infrastructure Engineer's typical week:
• Design and iterate on prototypes for new features, improve upon existing architecture
• Monitor Performance and tweak systems to troubleshoot bugs
• Work independently and as part of a close knit team.

Required Qualifications
• Proficient at designing and implementing scalable software in a multi-threaded environment
• Competent programming ability in Java, or C/C++
• Fluency with distributed systems and NoSQL Databases
• Understanding of data structures and complexity of algorithms
• Experience with profiling tools such as YourKit and JProfiler

Beneficial Experiences
• Participation in Open Source projects
• Experience with our specific technologies (Java 8, Cassandra, Kafka, Voldemort, Hadoop, Spark, Storm, Docker, etc)
• Previous experience with - or demonstrated passion for- a startup environment
