Mobility Services Technical Design Architect - Bangalore, India



We are seeking a Mobility Services Technical Architect for I&CC Solution Design Center. The Technical Architect in India will help support our growing Mobility Services and regional commercial business. The GTA team is responsible for providing technical solutions and costing in response to RF(x) with interlocked financial modeling for custom and complex IT Outsourcing and Managed Services customers.



This role is for a Technical Design Architect for mobility services responsible for supporting our sales, solutioning and delivery teams in developing and implementing technical solutions and providing thought leadership around Dell’s mobility service capabilities, tools, platforms and technical IP in support of our Managed Service business. This will include assessment, design, and planning during presales and post-sales activities, as well as presenting Dell’s value proposition and IP to potential and existing customers.



Additionally, this role will support the design of mobility managed services for new and existing customers as well as working with Dell Partners in development of customer solutions. The Architect will work with customers and identified Dell Partners to design solutions that meet corporate standards and support customer requirements.



The TA is expected to document the technical solution as well as articulate the Dell value during presentation of solution materials to the customer during pre-award orals and in deal negotiations. In some cases, the TA might be required to perform expanded responsibilities of leading the opportunity in smaller, less complex, managed mobility engagements.



This role requires up to 20-40% travel



PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



· Creating technical solutions for multi-million dollar outsourcing opportunities



· Ensuring compliance with technical and contractual requirements of RFPs



· Assisting with RFPs/RFIs, and other technical questionnaires



· Operating in a fast paced environment where every detail counts and responsiveness is an absolute necessity



· Deliver business, technology and overall technical solution planning and execution of the design process for sales pursuit efforts



· Early engagement in the sales cycle to understand customer requirements and business drivers



· Align customer requirements and Dell service portfolio to win new business engagements by leading Mobility solutions development for various technologies within the technical service area



· Provides the vision and strategy to customer and Dell internal teams to develop scalable, repeatable processes and solutions to enhance Dell competitiveness



· Integrate existing service offerings into new deals



· Partners with Sales Executives to position Dell value



· Initiative to include emerging and acquired technologies in the solution



· Maintains and utilizes detailed mobile industry and internal services knowledge in the construction of industry-leading services solutions, including expert working level knowledge of the processes, technologies, and people components involved in the mobility management services arena.



· Defining and documenting the mobility managed service and infrastructure requirements.



· Working closely with Infrastructure and Applications Architects to ensure the total solution requirements are addressed including application integration requirements of the customer infrastructure.



· As needed, provide a “trusted expert advisor” role as a Subject Matter Expert for mobility services, to both internal and external customers, ranging from formal advice to internal and external customer presentations.



· Maintains and utilizes detailed industry knowledge, including expert working knowledge of current mobile solution technologies.



· Maintains and utilizes detailed industry knowledge, including expert working level knowledge of IT and mobile solutions, devices, processes, and technologies.



· Collaborates with Dell Engagement Managers, Services’ Principal Architects and other System Consultants to ensure the integrity of proposed solutions and has full responsibility for validating the complex solution design proposed.



· Post-sales/delivery responsibilities include:



o Project managing the roll-out of the mobility managed services between Dell and the Managed Service Customer, and Dell Partner, as applicable.



o Working with the Project manager to maintain status reporting as part of due diligence on a daily/weekly basis



QualificationsRequirements



· 8-10 years’ experience with RFP responses



· 10+ years of progressive experience in designing, costing, and implementing enterprise class mobility solutions



Technical Skills (mandatory)



· Requires skills and experience in constructing complex technical solutions in the IT and mobile managed services market.



· Understanding of the mobile managed solutions market including providers, pricing, and available solutions



· Technical knowledge of MDM, TEM, and mobile lifecycle managed services solutions



· Technical knowledge of smart phone and tablet device types and OS, and the capability solutions to support various device and OS types



· Understanding and knowledge of competitive solutions and capabilities



Business Relationship Skills (mandatory)



· Excellent verbal and written communication skills



· Strong ability to understand Dell system processes.



· Strong ability to understand and manage Partner systems and processes



· Strong project management skills
