Dell is looking for a Splunk Support Specialist to be based in Zurich, Switzerland. As a Splunk Support Specialist, you will act as the L2 technical and business support for various ITIL supporting tools. This support role covers the support of the application Splunk from a technical and business support points of view. You will provide technical support, analyze incoming issues and deliver highest quality to our stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- L2 technical and business support for various ITIL supporting tools. This particular support role covers the support of the application "Splunk" from a technical and business support point of view
- Managing interface to our L3 support by addressing issues, as keeping track of these end-to-end issues until they are solved
- Lead mini projects to onboard application to use Splunk as the centralized logging infrastructure
- Participation in the project to migrate from the current syslog engine solution to "Splunk". The ideal candidate is responsible for planning and executing the technical migration onto the new solution
- Providing documentation and training to other L2 support specialists and to our end users
Qualifications
- Has worked in a global environment and has supported various technical tools
- Good knowledge of IT -technologies, - methods, -working tools & -solutions
- At least 2 years of experience in supporting the application Splunk
- Being able to troubleshoot the application Splunk from a L2 perspective
- Ability to understand and read basic shell and Perl scripts
- ITIL foundation v3 certified & good Unix skills
- Fluent in English (written & oral)
