Responsible for the Enterprise and Commercial new logo Field Sales team in Greater China, exceeding assigned out quota and developing robust got to market strategy. Work closely with the other OMC Greater China, APAC and Global teams in the attainment of business objectives, chiefly with:
- Inside sales team for Greater China to ensure sufficient quantity and quality of pipeline is being developed.
- Solution Consulting (pre-sales) team for Greater China to ensure our value proposition and competitive differentiators are successfully positioned
- Alliances and Channels for Greater China to ensure we form the right partnerships to grow our business
- Delivery and Customer Success teams to ensure our customers are delighted at every step of our relationship, that they are able to show ROI from our partnership, that they will advocate on our behalf within their organization and to the market, and that they will continue to expand their OMC portfolio.
CONTEXT – ORACLE MARKETING CLOUD
OMC is a Global Sales Unit within Oracle; formed through the acquisitions of Eloqua, Responsys, Compendium, BlueKai and Datalogix. Each of these companies are best in class leaders in their respective areas of marketing technology. The OMC charter is to market, sell, deliver and service these solutions. As such OMC has dedicated teams across the entire customer lifecycle, each team specializing in the domain of marketing, and experts in OMC technology. In Emerging Markets, APAC has been separated into two distinct groups: ANZ and ASIA, in reflection of the difference in maturity between the two markets. The ASIA sales team consists of Enterprise field sales reps, Telephone based Business Development Consultants, and Sales Consulting reps. The team is going through a rapid phase of growth and success; recent deals include major local brands like Jabong, HCL and Policy Bazar, Huawei and China Telecom, AIA Insurance Hong Kong, Zalora, Lazada and Challenger retail.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE and TRAINING
- Thorough experience working throughout the Greater china region including proven time spent managing teams in China, HK & TW.
- A minimum of 12 years working experience in sales
- At least 5 years of experience in managing and growing a team of sales professionals to 50 people
- Significant experience in the SaaS / cloud software technology domain
- Proven performer as an individual contributor
- Direct experience of the marketing technology ecosystem
- Some knowledge of OMC Products or competitive products in the Marketing domain.
- Understanding of the diverse business environment in r, both geographically and by industry vertical
- Strong experience of sales management methodology; OMC will be adopting Challenger globally
- Experience of a large US HQ technology vendor
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant program, MBA preferred
