Oracle Managed Cloud Services (OMCS) is one of the fastest growing business units within Oracle.  It leverages Oracle’s strength as the premier Enterprise Software provider to deliver applications in a new and innovative Cloud Computing paradigm.

 

Department Description:

 

Managed Security Services is a revenue-generating business within Oracle Managed Cloud Services Risk Management division. It was been established in 2010 and currently accounts for 17 Million in annual revenue with over 75 customers taking advantage of our security, compliance IdM managed services.

Position Overview:

 

Security Solutions Consultant provides pre-sales solution support for managed security and IdM services, works in collaboration with Cloud Services Sales, License Sales, and Oracle Consulting in selling all of the offerings included in Oracle's Managed Security Servicesportfolio.

Oracle Managed Security Services include managed database services (database auditing, database encryption, database vault, data masking and data reduction, etc) for @Oracle OMCS cloud and on-premise managed customers; managed IdM services (SSO/Provisioning/Federation/Strong Authentication); web application security; security compliance (PCI/HIPAA/21CFR part 11/FedRAMP) and other service offerings.

We are constantly adding to our MSS portfolio new solutions and features to meet market demand and maintain consistently record high growth trajectory.

Responsibilities:

 

• Provide direct sales support for Oracle Managed Cloud Services Sales Representative & License Account Managers to identify and pre-qualify opportunities; conduct discovery sessions with prospects to gather requirements and position our services; build contractible solutions leveraging Oracle Managed Security Services portfolio; provide solution design/recommendation presentations & general Q/A support for prospective customers to meet or exceed sales targets.

• Business development. Engage License Sales, Product Management, Consulting and other teams to identify and develop new channels and partner engagements to drive growth in MSS business.

• Provide feedback to product management and service management teams to influence product and MSS service roadmap in order to maintain leading position in a competitive environment, meet changing requirements from the market, ensure high level of customer satisfaction with our managed security and IdM services and to support MSS business growth.

• Periodically assist in the delivery of technical training for external presentation to existing and prospective customers and internal presentation to employees.

• Periodically participate in various projects to create and enhance sales tools, technical collateral, etc.

• Periodically participate in the deployment of the contracted solutions/services

• Provide a deal/activity/projects report to manager on a weekly basis.

Capabilities

 

Practical experience with design and implementation of database security products, network and application encryption solutions, web application firewalls, Oracle Identity Management Services is required Oracle database security and IdM services is a must

 

Proven track record of business development, sales, pre-sales support for security and/or IdM products or services is a must.

 

Experience with Managed Security Services (MSSP model) is preferred

Exceptional consultative sales presentation and positioning skills

Advanced oral/written technical and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong analytical problem solving skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with other technical and non-technical individuals and different levels internally and externally.

• High energy, focused and independent

• Ability to prioritize/manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Excellent organizational skills

• Product marketing experience is a plus

• Demonstrated understanding of the value chain concept.

Home Office Location  in  UK

TRAVEL- Up to 50%
