Department Description



Server Globalization Technology is the Globalization Center of Expertise for Server Technologies Division and has the overall responsibility for the Database, Enterprise Manager, Middle ware, Fusion Applications and Cloud/Social products by providing centralized Globalization consulting,development, and testing services.



Brief Description



Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.



Detailed Description



As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.



Job Requirements



Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.



Additional Details



Responsibilities:



The successful candidate will have some of the responsibilities including:



1. Working closely with Oracle Redwood product development teams to review NLS features of products and provide globalization test specs and test plan.

2. Working closely with SGT teams in China, India, Japan and US to execute both manual test and automation test.

3. Reporting defects and troubleshooting problems in NLS environments.

4. On-time delivery with high quality and adherence to corporate processes and procedures.

5. Assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems.

6. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.



Requirements:



1. Bachelors/Undergraduate degree or above in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics / Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

2. Proficient in Java/J2EE programming.

3. Familiar with relational database.

4. Knowledge of software testing methodologies

5. Strong written and oral communications in English and Mandarin.

6. Excellent analytical skill and problem solving skills and proven ability to learn new technologies quickly

7. Proven ability to work effectively in a global environment across multiple time zones.

8. Familiar with Unix/Linux/Windows OS.
