About the Position

ExactTarget is seeking Senior Software Quality Engineer to play a pivotal role in the delivery and improving the quality of new features for our industry leading cloud-based marketing software. You will work closely with the product team to define product test requirements, as well as, validate these requirements in the development process. As a team member you will join a group of designers, developers, and test engineers who are experts in the latest software development technologies, including .NET, REST API’s, SDK’s and working with iOS / Android based mobile applications.



Responsibilities

•Perform integration testing at the services layer (SOAP and REST specifically) to ensure the services developed are designed according to the specifications

•Build and execute test suites based on design specifications, requirements, or wireframes in an agile environment

•Develop test strategies to test complicated system changes

•Provide testing inputs on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems

•Report all defects found as a result of testing

•Summarize and report test results

•Communicate and provide testing updates to executive management



Requirements

•Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in software engineering, computer science, or a closely related field

•At least 5+ years of technical experience in software test environment

•Demonstrated understanding of XML, JSON

•Experience with scripted and automated testing using SOATest or Selenium is preferred

•Demonstrated experience creating test strategies, test plans, test cases (user stories), defect reports, and testing summaries

•Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and scale workload

•Working knowledge of the software design lifecycle, agile methodology, and end to end testing process

•Experience testing .NET, C#, JQuery, REST, XML and SOAP

•Experience using SQL server client tools

•Experience with JIRA a plus

•Demonstrated knowledge and experience testing applications thru API’s
