Role Scope


  • Effectively communicate the executive recruiting strategy and plan to senior leaders across the company to gain buy-in, alignment and foster shared vision

  • Be the trusted, strategic partner and advisor to executive hiring managers throughout the end-to-end process to fill key leadership roles

  • Proactively build a talent pipeline for future and anticipated leadership roles across the company

  • Play a consultative and advisory role with hiring managers to define addressable markets, best target companies, ideal business sectors, viable geographies and rich talent pools from which to source and recruit

  • Engage in meaningful dialog and relationships with candidates and the external talent market, not only to recruit for specific roles, but also to build and evangelise the LinkedIn brand

  • Partner with executive and HR leadership teams around succession planning and talent strategy in an effort to proactively build out a talent pipeline and premium quality candidate bench

  • Articulate LinkedIn’s business model and career value proposition at a highly sophisticated level to executive audiences, prospects and candidates

  • Qualify, screen and interview prospective candidates, and thoroughly understand motivation, career trajectory, and compensation

  • Perform rigorous research, industry calibration, and reference checking

  • Collaborate with our Global Executive Recruiting team to create and deliver global solutions

Skills and Experience


  • 10+ years of experience in executive search or leadership recruiting

  • Advanced skill in articulating a company’s business model and career value proposition at a highly sophisticated level to an executive audience

  • Ability to understand, articulate, and document a hiring manager’s stated requirements, and formulate a compelling role description that will attract world class executive talent

  • Proven track record in assessing external executive candidates on functional skills and capabilities, as well as leadership competencies, operating style, business values and other factors that are critical to success

  • Understanding of executive compensation and the ability to analyse and construct appropriate and unique compensation packages.

  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, negotiation and presentation skills. Proven experience establishing effective executive search methodologies and best practices, and mentoring others in the implementation of these practices

  • Deep business acumen across our industry and related sectors.

  • Strong executive presence, gravitas and ability to influence at the C –level. The ability to communicate with and influence senior executives is essential

  • Proven leadership skills, highly strategic, entrepreneurial, self-starter with hands-on approach

  • Extensive experience partnering and collaborating with executive, business and HR leaders

  • Integrity-driven, collaborative team player

  • Must be results driven, and able to execute equally well at strategic and tactical levels
