Director, CRM Solution Architect

Description :

The CRM Solution Architect will lead the solution architecture and design for strategic internal solutions spanning Sales, CFL, and Commerce. Key responsibilities of this position include; proactively identifying business opportunities within the organization, definition of new business (process re-engineering), working across all levels of the organization to understand the business, technical, and functional requirements required to support the delivery of solutions. Ensure architecture and solutions are the embodiment of salesforce technology, product and solutions.



Responsibilities

  • Craft technically robust, winning, and deliverable solutions which allow us to "showcase" our product and represent the "Best use of the cloud"

  • Adhere to standard solution architecture methodology; ensure solutions are delivered and as standard as possible to make certain delivery risks are managed/highlighted and appropriate internal reviews/sign-offs take place.

  • Liaison between Enterprise Architecture, key business unit stakeholders, IT application teams & R&D to ensure roadmap and technical architecture alignment; Roadmap and technical advocate to IT as well as R&D

  • Help business owners translate and implement real-world needs into practical, state-of-the-art (Showcase), salesforce technology-driven solutions.

  • Research, evaluate, and select appropriate salesforce technology and/or salesforce business partner solutions to develop a solution architecture that meets the needs of the enterprise; both tactical and strategic.

  • Analyze functionality and features, assess cost benefit factors and budgetary/resource impacts, assess impacts/risks to customers & across all business units, assess security and users, investigate compatibility with the existing operating environment, select products for evaluation, determine evaluation criteria, and recommend a final selection.

  • Assess and evaluate new emerging products and work with salesforce staff and customers to ensure that the product adheres to established standards, policies, and guidelines.

  • Understand current operational frameworks and how the solutions will be managed through and after the implementation.




Required Skills/ Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 Years of professional software engineering and architecture experience

  • B.Sc. or equivalent in Computer Science or related field, M.Sc. preferred.

  • Deep experience in enterprise applications with an emphasis on CRM and Commerce Systems. Able to assess the capabilities, impact and shortcomings of changes in enterprise business architectures and processes from a technical and business standpoint.

  • Able to evaluate the suitability of various enterprise solutions and technologies, suggest alternative approaches and recommend technical solutions, methodologies or strategies. Capable of prioritizing and implementing architectural improvements in co-operation with multiple business unit stakeholders.

  • Familiar and comfortable with agile development methodologies / Scrum.

  • Able to put his/her hands-on experience to use and work as an individual contributor (when required).

  • Able to communicate with business as well as technical audiences. Able to write clear and concise documentation, excellent written and spoken communication skills.

  • Able to function independently and as part of a team under aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment, convey a strong professional image, exhibit interest and positive attitude toward all assigned work, and strive for continued improvement. The successful candidate will enjoy the risk and opportunity of advanced technology development.




Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Familiarity with TOGAF or other recognized architecture frameworks/methods.

  • Thorough understanding OO programming with extensive experience in J2EE technologies.

  • Background in professional services strongly preferred.

  • Experience with the Force.com and Visualforce development platforms highly beneficial.

  • Travel Requirements: less than 10%.
