Talent Analytics Sr Associate

LinkedIn’s Talent Analytics team is looking for a new team member to help us transform the way data is used to understand and optimize our people decisions. We are looking for someone who can partner with our talent organization to provide insights and develop data-driven business processes. Part of LinkedIn’s Business Operations group, the Talent Analytics team uses data analysis and consulting expertise to help drive the company’s talent strategy and operations. Our team is uniquely positioned to redefine the world of HR by leveraging data from the world’s largest professional network to create innovative new models for hiring, talent management, and learning & development. Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating across teams, geographies, and organizational levels to identify challenges, develop solutions, and provide outstanding customer service to your HR clients
  • Translating business issues into questions that can be answered with data and presenting findings to senior leadership teams
  • Communicating insights to key stakeholders and influencing teams to take action based on your recommendations
  • Managing structured data to build reporting dashboards and supporting internal tools

Required qualifications:

  • Highly flexible, with the ability to execute well in a fast-paced, rapidly-evolving organization
  • Able to identify, analyze, and resolve problems logically and systematically
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to visually present data insights
  • Passion for using data to uncover insights and drive business performance
  • Proactive, organized, and detail oriented; able to ensure rigor and accuracy while meeting deadlines
  • Able to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive employee information
  • Willingness and ability to learn new tools and skills without direction
  • Experience with basic inferential statistics and research methods (correlations, regressions, t-tests, research design)
  • Statistical modeling experience (R, SAS, SPSS)
  • BA/BS in economics, computer science, math/statistics, operational research, I/O psychology, organizational behavior, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in experience in consulting, investment banking, sales operations, talent analytics, HR, or advanced degree in a related field


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with advanced inferential statistics (multilevel regression, factor analysis, structural equation modeling, Bayesian methods, etc)
  • Experience working in the internet industry
  • Experience and proficiency working with SQL/relational databases (Teradata, MySQL, Postgres)
  • Experience and proficiency working with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Qlik View, Micro-Strategy, Cognos)
  • Experience and passion for HR, Talent Management, or Learning & Development
  • Experience and familiarity with scripting languages (VBA, Python, R) for process improvement or calculation purposes
  • Experience with survey design, delivery, and analysis
