Position Overview:
This position is focused on developing manufacturing processes to ensure Oracle electronic hardware designs can be manufactured utilizing industry standard processes to high levels of quality, reliability, and cost competitiveness. The successful candidate will be immersed in printed circuit board fabrication and assembly process technologies (e.g. Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Plated Through Hole (PTH), and related Design For (DFx) disciplines).
Responsibilities:
The Process Manufacturing Engineer is positioned within the World Wide Operations organization and requires a solid technical foundation on which to establish and build depth in process related technologies utilized to fabricate and assemble Oracle computer hardware and related products.
This position will be engaged in both New Product Development and Sustaining for Revenue Products with critical interfaces to external contract assembly manufactures and sub-tier component suppliers. The position requires a high degree of internal collaboration across Oracle operations and engineering development organizations in addition to external collaboration with worldwide suppliers to successfully develop, monitor, and validate process performance
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Take an active role and produce key deliverables in the development, qualification, and implementation of electronic assembly processes for New Products with Oracle.
Support quality monitoring, reporting and process improvements of Printed Circuit Boards across multiple SPARC and X86 Product Platforms. Interface with Oracle Component and Supplier Engineering, External Suppliers and Oracle Engineering in resolution of process related quality improvement initiatives.
