JOB PURPOSE:
Business Consultants support the achievement of the sales target by identifying, developing and presenting ADP service and solutions. This is done through understanding and challenging the needs of the prospect/client to enable ADP to position the best fit solution.
KEY OBJECTIVES:
· Be a subject matter expert in the fields of one or more of the following aspects of HCM: Payroll, HR, Time and Labour Management
· Gain expert knowledge of ADP product set including
o ADP iHCM
o ADP freedom
o ADP HR.net
o ADP ezLaborManager
o ADP Local Pay solutions
Responsible for working with ADP’s products and services and handling any functional/technical/non-standard service questions or issues which arise during a sales cycle and setting appropriate prospect/clien t expectations
KEY DUTIES/TASKS:
- Assisting the sales force to assess prospect/client business challenges and understanding their solution requirements
· Research, develop and document an analysis of the prospect/client needs, identifying ADP’s ability to meet these needs and propose appropriate solutions
· Carry out due diligence/needs analysis visits and provide output describing the proposed solution and benefits
· Preparation of tailored and branded demonstrations of the ADP offer based on findings from analysis to highlight the benefits and ROI of the ADP solution
· Liaising with prospects in preparation for demonstrations
· Gain highest level of product knowledge to be able to set-up scenarios for proof of concept demonstrations/workshops
· Present presentations and solutions to all size audiences at different levels from end users to board directors
· To review requests for information (RFI) documents and tenders from prospects, and assist the District Manager in the completion of ADP’s response to those documents
· Upkeep of the ADP sales demo databases
· Maintain knowledge of ADP’s solution capabilities and keep up to date with new and planned developments
· Work with other departments in ADP to gain insight and buy-in where non-standard solutions are required to meet prospect/clients needs
· Sign off of Business Consultants Documentation
· Update the UK business on current Pipeline
· To represent sales interests at internal meetings
· Support sales with functional questions
· Keep up to date with employment legislation
· Keep sales CRM systems updated with activity and data to assist with the accurate reporting of sales statistics
· Take an active part in developing new members of the team and delivering elements of the on boarding programme. They must also act as a mentor for new team members
· Provide feedback to ADP Product on enhancement opportunities
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

· Possesses good presentation skills
· Is able to help in qualifying a sales opportunity
· Is able to talk with different audiences, appropriately adjust technical content to meet different audience knowledge and interest, and can juggle meetings with multiple audience levels
· Is able to handle prospect/client objections by determining the real business problem, articulating our ability to solve their problems, and finding creative solutions rather than answering “no”
· Possesses an understanding of sales methodologies and can apply them in a sales situation
· Be able to position our products against the competition
· Proactively engages in the sales cycles
· Has the ability to assess a prospect/client ’s business problem and recommend appropriate solutions
· When complex problems requiring out-of-the-box thinking arise, can document a solution and articulate the business value to a prospect/client
· Continuously updates solution knowledge
· The ability to persuade or influence others to accept a point of view, to adopt a specific agenda or to take a course of action
· Ability to challenge prospect/client on process and practice
· Ability and willingness to travel on a regular basis
· Ability to read audience and change direction of presentation where appropriate
· Highly valued interpersonal skills include the ability to be rational, objective and unbiased when making decisions or taking action
· Being open, flexible and creative with regards to time management
· Deal with aggressive audiences in a professional manner
· Ability to both work as part of a team as well as under own initiative
· Be a professional representative of ADP GESi
Experience, Skills, Academic:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Presentation experience preferably with ADP core products
- Payroll, HR or T&A knowledge
- Must be educated to at least A Level
- Word, Excel and Power P p oint at an intermediate level
- Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
- Attention to written detail
- Flexible approach to work and location
- Excellent presentation skills
- Experience in an implementation or client service environment is desirable
- Commercial awareness
