Our Product Quality Operations team has the critical responsibility of protecting Google's users by ensuring online safety by fighting web abuse and fraud across Google products like Search, Maps, AdWords and AdSense. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google developers and Product Managers to navigate challenging online safety situations and handle abuse and fraud cases at Google speed (read: fast!). You work globally and cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Sales, Legal, Public Relations, and Public Policy teams, among others, to develop strong product policies at Google speed. You will develop global policy for Google’s monetized products including Ads, Shopping, and Publisher products. In addition, you’ll work with product management, operations, and engineering to ensure successful enforcement of our policies. You combine your passion for solving complex problems using data and research with a deep commitment to achieving the best possible experience with Google products for our end-users and partners.
Responsibilities
- Drive the development of data-driven, user-focused product policies across a wide range of complex policy areas.
- Engage cross-functionally to lead the creation of scalable operational and product solutions that result in effective global implementation of Google’s product policies.
- Manage policy evaluation and change, including the development of analytical insights.
- Collaborate with multiple cross-functional stakeholders, including Operations, Legal, Product, and Sales on policy related issues and projects.
- Drive awareness and understanding of our product policies across the industry, within Google, and with external stakeholder groups.
Minimum qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred qualifications
- MBA, MS or other advanced degree.
- Experience with complex internet policy topics.
- Experience with online advertising technologies and systems.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with strong business judgment.
- Presentation skills and ability to communicate in a clear and compelling manner to multiple stakeholder groups.
