Systems Integration Sr. Advisor – Dallas, TX



Dell, Inc. is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Systems Integration Sr. Advisor to join our team in Dallas, TX.



The Software Integration Sr. Advisor position in the BIDW group of Dell Services primarily focuses on providing Application Design, Development and Integration services to Dell customers. The resource will be responsible for providing Technical and strategic Solution, Project Design governance, Project Delivery and execution including day-to-day management of software engineers in BI and Analytics Domain. He should be able to provide strong technical guidance and bring expertise in Software development processes and methodologies such as Agile Scrum. He needs to interact extensively with cross-functional teams such as Technologists, Release Management and Program Management and other engineering teams.



Role Responsibilities

- Design and develop ETL workflows and reports using DataStage

- Perform data analysis and data validation

- In-depth customer knowledge to provide appropriate solutions

- Should be able to interface with client and work on technical requirement

- Provides technical and functional guidance and training to team

- Manages multiple assignments and processes

- Independently determines approach to project and anticipates and prevents potential problems



QualificationsRequirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline with an information technology focus or equivalent job experience

- 7-10 years of experience in DataStage

- IBM DataStage versions 7.5 and up-heavy experience with Parallel job development as opposed Server job development

- Unix shell scripting skills – at least basic to intermediate level

- SQL skills – intermediate to advanced skills

- Oracle exposure at least 10G-prefer 11G also – Strong Oracle knowledge

- Exposure to DB2, Sybase, and SQL server

- Understanding of data management/data warehousing concepts-good idea on indexing, ETL relevant concepts/features

- Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communications skills



Preferences

- Very good Knowledge of ETL concepts and DW areas

- Good database skills

- Capable of developing complex queries.
