On the Apps team, we help businesses, schools and organizations "go Google" by delivering our cloud-based Gmail, Calendar and Docs products. As the Head of the Regional Apps Leads you will be responsible for the global market success of our new products, such as Google Drive and Google Hangouts, and for the adoption of our business-relevant and pure-cloud solutions. You will positively impact business metrics including (but not limited to) business growth attainment, competitive wins, business growth, new logo acquisition etc. through knowledge, team-work and programmatic engagement.
You will work with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Product Strategists to define and achieve these goals. This will involve working with field marketing to build campaigns, tailoring assets and tools to the needs of the market segment, providing Sales teams the support they need to win customers and working with the wider Sales Success team to execute programs that drive further adoption. You will create and participate in external thought leadership events, actively evangelize the products/solutions in region, and help validate and refine the overall product roadmap, positioning and Go-to-Market strategies.
You should be an expert in the Enterprise collaboration and productivity space, a great presenter and interested in developing messaging and strategy. Superb written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Build annual, quarterly and monthly plans for business growth, Go-to-Market, adoption and thought leadership.
- Support Sales leadership on all critical opportunities in regions; teams with competitive cycles; teams with contract reviews.
- Tailor solution, competitive and product collateral to the needs of the market. Develop role, industry, segment and geographically appropriate business playbooks, tools, guides with messaging and positioning for different Google for Work audiences.
- Serve as a thought leader for programs, team and partner development.
- Work with marketing on market awareness, demand generation and thought leadership plans for your segment; work with the Operations team to drive adoption programs for your segment.
Minimum qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Sales, training and enablement or consulting experience in cloud based (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) technologies in a high-growth global environment with profiles of varying experience levels.
Preferred qualifications
- People management experience, managing an effective team and achieving big, well-defined goals and effectively working with distributed team members.
- Experience with marketing or sales support in developing product/solution messaging/narratives and value propositions.
- Understanding of Google Apps productivity applications and platform; deep understanding of enterprise software marketplace and key players as well as technical factors driving competitive landscape.
- Strong cross functional leadership and collaboration skills; ability to work calmly and maintain good judgment in fast-paced, high-stress environments.
- Outstanding problem solving, technical and project management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to connect with customers, partners to formulate insights.
