About the Position:

The Manager will play a critical role in the Industry/Public Sector Business Unit Sales Strategy and Operations group, a team that acts as a strategic planning and operations arm for the business unit, as well as tackles the most relevant challenges to achieve growth targets in the middle and long-term. This person will be accountable for identifying and reporting on key indicators of performance and market opportunity and using those findings to put forth actionable recommendations to Sr leadership. In addition to day-to-day operations projects will include business planning, market segmentation, pipeline analysis, coverage optimization, and ongoing performance measurement. Deliverables take the form of strategic recommendations and the operational cadence that drives growth.



The successful candidate will be someone who can balance operational with strategic, is not afraid to ask tough questions (as long as they seek the answers), can work independently, has superior analytical skills, can work under pressure, and comfortable presenting to executive leadership.



Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and implement an analytic infrastructure for looking at the business

  • Analyze the health of the business and interpret key leading indicators and performance metrics

  • Craft plans to address pronounced weaknesses or areas of opportunity

  • Present recommendations to senior management for strategic decision making and investment

  • Design the sales coverage model for the Public Sector Business Unit

  • Assist in the development of Business Unit GTM strategy

  • Own dashboard reporting for sales executives. Build and maintain dashboards for sales leadership

  • Manage business unit related day -to - day operations




Desired Skills/Experience:

  • 5 - 8 years of work experience in a management consulting-type environment

  • Superior skills in analytical and presentation tools such as Excel and PPT

  • Exposure to, and/or high degree of comfort with, databases such as Business Objects

  • Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis, yet translate those results into easily digestible messages, communications, and presentations

  • Flexibility and ability to adjust on the fly to new demands; sense of urgency

  • Strong executive presentation and engagement skills

  • Self-motivated with a highly collaborative style and strong influence skills
