Technical Program Manager, M&A Production Infrastructure Integration

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus. As a Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.
In this role, you will drive Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Application Operations Integration engagements as the Technical Program Manager for all facets of acquisitions Development and Production Infrastructure. You will provide leadership and expertise to deliver IT programs and initiatives on schedule and within budget. You will plan and administer both projects and the overall program, and ensure that deliverables are completed correctly and on-time. You will deliver the technical solution to support an organization's vision and strategic direction. You are a leader in the IT organization, and will be held accountable for the success of enterprise-impacting technology initiatives. You will be responsible for driving the workflow(s) knowledge and leveraging your engineering background to lead the program efforts of the support teams to deliver appropriate solutions.
You will be responsible for a specific domain set program (Linux) that will be capable of solving client needs - including appropriate capacity growth and driving efficiency improvements through the teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead M&A integration deep-dives and analysis, develop proposals and coordinate large cross-functional teams.
- Develop project plans and manage technical integration of acquired companies’ development and production environments.
- Understand customer-facing technical systems and product implications. Make the connection between information, its impact on the project and what should be done to have the best outcome; Contribute to the technical solution.
- Build strong partnerships across Google’s Technical Infrastructure organization and serve as the interface between acquired entities and Google production teams.
- Have expert project management skills; Build complex project plans or program-level plans to include forecasting, road maps, resource planning, identifying/mitigating risk, delegating responsibilities and coordinating the work of other Project Managers.
Minimum qualifications- BA/BS degree in a technical discipline (CS/EE) or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in technology.
- 4 years of experience in program management.
- Project management or technical management experience leading technical projects for customer facing systems/products.
Preferred qualifications- MA/MS/MBA degree in a technical discipline (CS/EE, etc.).
- 10 years of experience in technology. 6 years of experience in program management.
- M&A IT or production systems integration experience.
- Familiarity with traditional production infrastructure (Data center, networking, etc.).
- Familiarity with Cloud Computing platforms and concepts (GCP, AWS, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
