Job Description
Dell Services Federal Government is seeking a highly qualified MS Lync Engineer to deliver outstanding customer service in support of Microsoft Lync 2010/2013 products as a Dell employee at a customer site. The highly skilled Engineer will enhance the collaborative capabilities of the customer user community. This person will provide consulting and engineering services focused on Microsoft-based Lync environment architected to support unified communications services for over 16,000 users. The environment supports an integrated Unified Communications suite including Voice enabled (PSTN), Lync, Exchange, Outlook, SharePoint, etc. The environment will support the best practice recommendations from Microsoft and adhere to Microsoft recommended implementation practices where applicable.
For this position the candidate should possess superior knowledge and demonstrated technical proficiency in Microsoft Lync Server 2010/2013 with experiences in managing large environments that include Microsoft Windows 7/8 clients. Depending on the role, typical tasks performed include reactive problem resolution, migration and installation assistance, configuration management using Group Policy, pre-rollout testing, and delivering training and risk assessments. The candidate must also possess advanced expertise in secure and high-performance Wide-Area-Networking. Additionally, demonstrable skills are required in monitoring network system performance to ensure effective and efficient operations and avoidance of system outages. Excellent communications skills and the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all professional levels are musts.

Required Skills
* 3+ years supporting integrated Unified Communications suite including Voice enabled (PSTN), Lync, Exchange, Outlook, SharePoint, Video Conferencing etc.
* 3+ years of in-depth Microsoft infrastructure and configuration/installation experience with Microsoft Exchange, Office Communications Server/Lync, and Active Directory.
* 3+ years' experience with Active Directory and OCS/Lync 2010 integration and a thorough understanding of issues related to implementing Active Directory and Lync on large, distributed networks.
* 2+ years of experience using MS PowerShell to automate manual repetitive functions
* 4+ years' experience with Windows Server including 2008 R2/2012 R2, SQL Server including 2008/2012, and IIS.
Desired Skills
* Certification in Lync Server 2008, 2010, 2013 or Training in one of the following:
o 40 + hours, plus of classroom training from a Microsoft partner
o 20 + hours formal classroom training (including a hands on/labs)
o 40 + hours of on-line training
* Lync Server Administration of Lync 2010/2013 servers and client systems
* Familiar with related technologies to support Lync backup/recovery, monitoring, mobile messaging, archiving, etc.
* Knowledge of enterprise voice deployments with integration into existing PBX infrastructure (Avaya).
* MCSA: Windows Server 2008 Solutions Associate
* Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, Configuration
* Microsoft Lync Server 2010, Configuring
Education
Undergraduate or equivalent experience
Experience
3+ years advanced experience with Microsoft Lync Server configuration and installation. Candidate must be proficient with Windows Server 2012, Office Communications Server, Windows Server Active Directory, data networks, and telecommunications components that support the configuration of Communications Server 2010. Must be experienced integrating Lync Server 2010 with Microsoft Exchange Unified Messaging.
