As an Associate Technical Account Manager Intern, you will be paired up with our senior technology managers to learn all aspects of the product and deal cycles. You'll conduct data-driven business analysis, deliver product/project specs, facilitate early adoption of new product lines, perform client-facing account management and understand our overall business operations with Google's partners. You're a self-motivated business-oriented university or MBA student with a technical background ready to gain invaluable industry insight and join a fast-paced, market-driven environment.



As an intern, you will be working on challenging projects with high impact with Googlers during a 8 to 12 week paid, full-time internship. You will be assigned an intern manager who will inspire you, oversee your work, help identify project goals, and support your professional development.

Responsibilities


  • Job responsibilities and intern projects are determined based on the experience, skills, and interests of the student. If you are interested in a particular area, programming languages, etc., please make sure to include it in your resume.




Minimum qualifications


  • Must be enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program with an expected graduation date between April 2015 and March 2016. The program is also open to first year MBA students.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese.

  • Be able to complete a minimum 8 weeks at the Tokyo office between May and September. We will accommodate your school schedule when determining the start date and duration.




Preferred qualifications


  • Major in Computer Science or related technical field.

  • Basic knowledge of Python, SQL, HTML, JavaScript and/or UNIX/Linux.

  • Ability to read, write and speak in English.

  • Ability to absorb technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience effectively.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment.




Area



The Google Technical Services team (known as gTech) provides technical expertise across all Google products to support our global Sales, Business Development and Partnerships teams. We fix any issues on behalf of customers and partners so that our sales teams can focus on what they do best. We collaborate closely with Google's engineering groups to create technical solutions that enable our sales organization to help our customers' businesses grow.
