A Nerve Center Leader is required to work with a world-class team to support industry-leading Oracle Cloud services. In this role you will build and lead a talented team of technologists responsible for co-maintaining Oracle’s cloud services in a follow-the-sun support model with a mandate of driving near 100% uptime. You will be building and leading the UK Nerve Center Team with responsibility for all tier 1/2 operations activity, including: monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting,and repairing all aspects of Oracle Cloud’s global platform. In addition, the Global Nerve Center team will be responsible for a portfolio of technology-related projects.


Responsibilities:


Build and lead a Global Operations Center, including:


-Hiring technical team members to form the operations center


-Design and implementation of ITIL-based service management processes


-Implementing appropriate tools


Continual improvement of key metrics,including: MTTR, SLAs, FCR, Repeat issues, etc.


Designing a strategy to deliver the operational integrity, performance, reliability, security, cost optimization and process agility needed to deliver mission critical cloud services on behalf of Oracle’s cloud businesses and customers.


Assuring deep data collection and performance analysis on all production environments and workloads; assuring high quality data flows needed for metrics and SLA management


Accountable for developing and executing upon best-in-class cloud operations, processes and procedures and governance process to measure, monitor and improve results.


Leadership of first and second-level operations, including: monitoring /event management, configuration management, troubleshooting, incident response, reporting, risk management and mitigation


Provide technical coaching and guidance to team members


Preparing for, and management of technical/service outage crises


Develop and implement change management programs and related on-going controls


Manage and prioritize the Operations Center project portfolio


Willingness to get hands dirty and operate at a tactical level, while still maintaining leadership responsibilities
