Summary of Role:



The Dell Bank EMEA Credit team is seeking a Credit Risk Advisor to manage the EMEA credit queue and help maintain acceptable levels of credit risk across the EMEA portfolio. This position will involve assessing and evaluating customer credit risk through in-depth business and financial analysis.



The ideal candidate should have strong credit analysis skills and the ability to document and communicate credit assessments in a clear and effective manner.



The Credit Risk Advisor will work closely with the Irish Sales team, providing assistance, advice and where necessary, negotiating with high-risk customers on deal structuring with a view to maximizing the commercial opportunity without compromising credit quality standards. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to review and decision credit recommendations received from the in country credit teams throughout EMEA. This role includes responsibility for ensuring compliance with the bank’s lending policies and procedures. In addition, this individual will be required to adhere to internal SLA’s and ensure an acceptable speed of response to enrich the customer experience whilst maintaining business controls within appropriate credit standards.



Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities



· Provides analysis and interpretation of the customers’ financial condition for proper evaluation of risk and the establishment of proper credit limits.



· Interacts with sales support, customers and other Dell functions to support and maintain said accounts.



· Prepares formal credit reviews/write-ups and renders credit approvals on new and existing accounts.



· Responsibilities include spreading and analysing customer financial statements and the determination of the appropriate risk grades (PD/LGD) and ensuring that said credit limits, conditions of same, and risk grades are entered and maintained within the appropriate systems.



· Monitors and communicates credit concerns to management.



· Performs the investigation and analysis of credit risks for larger assigned accounts, presenting to Credit Committee where required.



· Prepares, schedules and presents the monthly Ops review for the Irish credit portfolio to the CCO



· Provides support in terms of any ad hoc testing, reporting or training requirements which may arise



· Serves as key liaison with higher-level contacts within other departments, customers and third parties to obtain necessary credit information and documentation.



· Regularly briefs leadership on the status of assigned accounts.



· May identify and recommend process improvements for team.



Qualifications



Hiring Profile



Essential



· 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role



· Strong financial analysis and credit underwritings skills



· A sound level of industry knowledge



· Proven analytical and problem solving skills



· Detail and results orientated



· Flexible and capable of working on multiple tasks/projects concurrently



· Intermediate to advanced Level of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)



· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and in writing.



Desirable



· Degree preferably in economics/finance/business or other relevant discipline, and/or equivalent professional qualification



· Strong knowledge of leasing products and services



· Experienced in fraud risk detection and prevention



· Strong understanding of the bank’s lending policies and procedures
