Systems Engineer Senior

We are seeking talented Senior Level Infrastructure engineers for our mission critical Infrastructure Engineering teams. Qualified candidates will bring the latest software development, automation and deployment practices. Candidates should have a distributed systems foundation and a service-oriented mindset. You're always thinking "What happens if this fails?" when you build things.
Responsibilities :
- Develop software in Ruby to manage host and network infrastructure. We're looking for someone to write clean, re-usable, testable OO code. This *is not* a scripting/sysadmin job.
- Work closely with a cross functional team of software developers, quality engineers, network engineers and system administrators to define the tools, processes and implementation to support fast-iteration software development.
- Participate in on-call rotation to support the team's software service.
Requirements :
- Minimum of 5 years object-oriented coding experience in Ruby, Python, or Java. The software for this job is written in Ruby, but we'll consider candidates experienced in other languages with a willingness / ability to quickly come up to speed with Ruby.
- Experience with source code management, testing frameworks, code packaging, and build/release processes
- Strong Linux system administration skills
- Experience as part of on-call rotation, ideally at both a startup and a large infrastructure provider
- Experience with bare metal infrastructure, data centers, and/or virtualization (kvm or openstack) a plus
- BS Degree in Computer Science or technical field preferred
