Dell Healthcare and Life Sciences is looking to grow our Dell Team for Inside Sales Account Management Professionals in the Austin, TX area (Round Rock, TX - Dell Headquarters) We are looking for sales professionals who are viewed as trusted business advisors to the customer and use in-depth knowledge of Dell's technology, products and services to help customers formulate strategy and direction. In particular, we are looking for people who have experience selling into the Healthcare and Life Sciences industry. Experienced Inside Sales Account Representatives work with customers in complex Healthcare Accounts to devise new and innovative solutions to business challenges.



Our Healthcare Relationship Sales group is made up of both Development and Acquisition focused roles.



If development focused, individual is responsible for:




  • Out-bounding to drive current penetration in retention and development accounts.



  • Develop and implement account plans that drive the attainment of critical business objectives.




If account/acquisition focused, individual responsible for:




  • Average-to-high revenue spend and/or account complexity within assigned business.



  • Higher strategic value within assigned business.






Overall Scope of Role:

• Utilizes strategic probing to identify, evaluate, and recommend alternative business solutions.



• Analyzes multiple market factors to both anticipate/identify customer problems/needs and recommends appropriate solution.



• Engages cross-functional resources, regardless of geographic location, in order to achieve goal/ meet customer needs.



• Effectively balances demands from multiple stakeholders, along with balancing short and long term priorities.



• Develops and implements account plans that drive the attainment of critical business objectives.



• Involved in contract negotiation and possesses strong financial/business and pricing knowledge.



• Assumes responsibility to improve service, efficiency and quality of work.



• Uses thought leadership to build customer relationships and assist customers in developing business solutions using Dell products and services.



• Coaches others in closing complex deals and assists others in keeping up-to-date on Dell’s technology, products, and services.



• Exhibits a broad base knowledge of multiple or related industries as well as an acute business understanding.



• Organizes internal/external resources in response to customer needs.



• Articulates how the Dell business model relates to selling Dell products and services.



• Key point of contact for customer but may escalate customer issues/concerns as appropriate.



Qualifications



Number of Products/Services Sold: Sells multiple LOBs or low-end services (e.g. after point of sale, warranty tags, break/fix maintenance) with limited sales responsibility of high-end services (e.g. managed / professional services).



Type of Product/Service Sold: Primarily sells computers, printers, peripherals and break/fix, with limited sales of servers, storage, and managed services



Number of Accounts : Handles a large number of small to medium business accounts in a specified territory or limited number of larger accounts. Develops account relationships typically with multiple decision makers within customers.



Job Duty Differentiators:



Works with customers in complex business environments to devise new and innovative solutions to business challenges.



• Responsible for a high number of less sophisticated accounts, or a fewer number in more sophisticated accounts.



• Some involvement in outside sales lead with Inside Sales support.



Devises new approaches/ methods to selling Dell products and services.



• Accomplished level sales representative, influencing how others engage/interact with client set.



• The customer experience is highly dependent on the performance and accuracy of the specialist and as such, has a significant impact on the customer relationship and the future spend with Dell.



• Develops relations with key vendors to better position industry technology within Dell solutions.



• Focuses self and team on the most critical activities that support the sales environment and the customer.



Requirements



- 8-10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.



- Maintain awareness of market conditions and competitors ’ products and pricing.



- Work in a team environment and demonstrate strong leadership skills



- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and peripherals



- Demonstrate strong verbal and written skills



- Demonstrate professionalism with peers, subordinates, superiors, and customers



- Manage time and prioritize effectively; demonstrate an ability to cope with a complex and changing environment



Preferences




  • Associates, Bachelors degree, technical, college or some college course work preferred.



  • 8 years of sales experience and/or 8 years related industry or segment experience preferred



  • Familiarity with the Salesforce.com preferred
