Voice and Network Global Technical Architect- Remote, United States



We are seeking a Voice and Network Global Technical Architect for the I&CC Solution Design Center. The Technical Architect in North America will help support our growing Federal and regional commercial business. The GTA team is responsible for providing technical solutions and costing in response to RF(x) with interlocked financial modeling for custom and complex IT Outsourcing and Managed Services customers. The Voice and Network TA will combine data and voice network expertise and business acumen working alongside other functional TAs to design innovative and cost effective technical solutions for new business opportunities using our solution design process. The TA will work as a member of an opportunity pursuit team to perform due diligence, verify accuracy of business and technical requirements, develop technical solutions with projected costs, assumptions, risks with mitigations, timelines and labor requirements to deliver a specific scope of work. The TA is expected to document the technical solution as well as articulate the Dell value during presentation of solution materials to the customer during pre-award orals and in deal negotiations. In some cases, the TA might be required to perform expanded responsibilities of leading the opportunity in smaller, less complex, managed network engagements.



This role requires up to 20-40% travel



Role Responsibilities



-Creating technical solutions for multi-million dollar outsourcing opportunities



-Ensuring compliance with technical and contractual requirements of RFPs



-Assisting with RFPs/RFIs, and other technical questionnaires



-Operating in a fast paced environment where every detail counts and responsiveness is an absolute



necessity



-Deliver business, technology and overall technical solution planning and execution of the design



process for sales pursuit efforts



-Collaborate with the various internal and external teams in pursuit of new business contracts



-Early engagement in the sales cycle to understand customer requirements and business drivers



-Align customer requirements and Dell service portfolio to win new business engagements by leading



infrastructure solutions development for various technologies within the technical service area



-Provides the vision and strategy to customer and Dell internal teams to develop scalable, repeatable



processes and solutions to enhance Dell competitiveness



-Integrate existing service offerings into new deals



-Partners with Sales Executives to position Dell value



-Initiative to include emerging and acquired technologies in the solution



Qualifications



Requirements



-8-10 years experience with RFP responses



-10+ years of progressive experience in designing, costing, and implementing enterprise class



networking solutions



-Experience selling enterprise class networking solutions is a plus



-Extensive knowledge of LAN, WAN, network security, voice, and network convergence solutions



-Experience with protocols and topologies such as IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, Frame-Relay, and VPN



-Experience performing complex technical analysis of software, hardware, and network systems,



LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, switches, various transmission systems, IVR, ACD,



carrier networks, VoIP, UC&C, and CTI/middleware



-Bachelor's Degree in relevant field



Preferences



-Industry recognized technical certification(s) in one or more designated technical area - FCOE, HPCC, IVR, ACD, VoIP UC&C, CTI/Middleware, Aruba, Brocade, Juniper, Cisco highly recommended
