Job Description
Dell Inc.'s wholly owned subsidiary Dell Services Federal Government, Inc. (DSFG) is seeking an Engineering Technician 4 to develop and revise Navy Planned Maintenance System (PMS) documentation as requested by SUBMEPP customer, based on Fleet feedback or other requirements. In this position you will manage PMS documentation may apply to submarines, deep submergence platforms, new constrution or new design submarines, submarines undergoing conversion, or submarine trainers and Littoral Combat Ships. Also, the selected candidate will conduct Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis to determine new system maintenance requirements based on MIL-STD-3034. Required Skills
1-2 years experience is gained though service aboard surface ships or submarines in the operation and maintenance of Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E),or Combat Weapons (CS) systems
0-1 years experience in Naval Shipyards, private shipyards performing surface and submarine maintenance or new construction and work in SUBMEPP will be considered
1-2 years experience MS Office
Desired Skills
Qualified in surface ships or submarines while in active duty Navy or qualified as a shipyard test engineer.
Divisional, Departmental, or ships 3M Coordinator.
Specialized experience in the use, maintenance, or revision of Navy maintenance documentation a plus.
Proficient in the use of windows PC and Microsoft suite of office products.
Education
Requires a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience
Requires 4 years relevant experience without a Degree or Undergraduate Degree and at least 1 year relevant experience.
Requirements
Physical ability to work on board a ship/submarine, climb laddersand inspect hard to reach areas.
Hazards
Occasional presence onboard a submarine or Littoral Combat Ship will be required.
