Job Description
Dell Inc.'s wholly owned subsidiary Dell Services Federal Government, Inc. (DSFG) is seeking a Help Desk support employee for our Fairfax, VA location. This position is to provide Tier 1 service desk support for DSFG Employees. The Help Desk is focused on first contact resolution of incidents that are first contact resolvable. Incidents that are not resolvable at first contact are forwarded to the appropriate functional group for resolution. Desk and Network teams work to address the immediate and ongoing needs of team members. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver that can multitask while providing excellent customer service.
This position requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Education
College degree a plus.
Experience
Typically requires 3 years relevant experience without a Degree or Undergraduate Degree and at least 1/2 year relevant experience
Specific Skills
Help Desk must have at least 1 year of experience with the following: Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Office Suite, various Internet browsers to include Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Firefox, Chrome. Must be able to learn new Operating Systems, Applications and over the phone hardware troubleshooting skills during normal hours using on the job training.
They must also be able to explain technical issues in simple layman terms to leadership.
Desired Skills
Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCP) is desirable.
