Agency Lead/Account Manager

Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grow. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.



As an Agency Lead/Account Manager, you'll collaborate closely with agency representatives, serve as their ambassador within Google, evangelize new Google products and technologies throughout the agency, identify sales and business development opportunities, and develop and manage strong relationships with agency influencers and decision-makers. Your responsibilities are to work with agencies day by day, increase new and existing business to maximize growth, build agency relationships with Google's Sales team, provide research, market analysis and other critical information, and be responsive to all agency needs. You'll also collaborate with Google's Vertical Sales teams to exchange knowledge regarding client needs in specific industry sectors. Among your many attributes, you are an excellent communicator and supportive team-worker, skilled at solving problems and explaining complex issues.



Responsibilities


  • Evangelize Google within the advertising agency community.

  • Collaborate closely with agency and develop partner-building strategies.

  • Identify sales and business development opportunities, and keep strong relationships with agency influencers and decision makers.

  • Solidify executive relationships and drive growth with target agencies.

  • Develop best practices and benchmarking initiatives to optimize agency relationships.





  • Minimum qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience with servicing demanding agency personnel and coordinating diverse groups.

  • Business level communication in Japanese and English.





  • Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in integrated marketing communication sales or media sales.

  • Knowledge of and established relationships within the Japanese advertising industry.

  • Google product knowledge.

  • A deep understanding of the industry's issues, a vision for its growth, and a commitment to advance Google's forward-looking strategies within the marketplace.

  • Balanced team player dedicated to client service.

  • Strong presentation, analytical and problem solving skills.
