Job Description



Dell Inc.'s wholly owned subsidiary Dell Services Federal Government, Inc. (DSFG) is seeking a Help Desk Level 1 Associate to create and work Help Desk tickets to final resolution. The Help Desk Technician is responsible for the basic daily support tasks related to systems, servers, and network. They are the first line of support and should be capable of resolving most problems that the end users systems encounter. The Help Desk team should expect to work primarily on inbound trouble reports which can come in via email based ticket, chat, or via phone. Ultimately, the Help Desk team positions are customer service positions that require technical skills and training.

Required Skills



* Provide outstanding customer service to our customers while resolving issues related to their device(s).

* Use knowledge based system and other tools to deliver technical support solutions

* Assist customers with device set up and device education

* Assist with trouble shooting to resolve operation issues

* Consistently meet or exceed productivity and quality goals.

* Adhere to a schedule that includes; shift, break and meal times

* Availability for any shift 7 days a week, 24 hours a day



Desired Skills



* 2+ years-experience utilizing a variety of system hardware, software, networking or help desk experience

* 2+ years of a customer service experience

* Problem solving skills



Education



HS Diploma or GED



Experience



* 2 years of technical support experience in a call center/support center environment

* Minimum of 2 years-experience utilizing a variety of system hardware, software, and networking

* Must be able to relate well to customers and coworkers in an atmosphere of mutual respect and be able to respond appropriately to direction from a supervisor

* Regular attendance and punctuality

* Ability to obtain the following certifications within 45 days of hire: Security+ and Configuring Windows 7 or MCTS 70-685

* DOD Secret Clearance (ability to obtain)
