Job Description

Dell Inc.'s wholly owned subsidiary Dell Services Federal Government, Inc. (DSFG) is seeking a talented METCAL Manager to manage the Maintenance and Material Management (3M) Assessment and Certification Program. The successful candidate will have responsibilities of this position will include but not limited to the following:
- Administrates the Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE)and Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) program.
- Provides solid engineering support for the Calibration program to ensure cost, schedule, budget, reliability and safety goals are met.
-Collaborates with team members, and subordinate site representatives to achieve fleet goals.
-Monitor the activities of all Calibration Coordinators and providing training/assistance as necessary.
-Conducts frequent audits/surveillances of calibration program onboard assigned units.
-Facilitates the MIQ data exchange between each customer and MOCC (Measure Operational Control Center).
-Monitors the readiness of all assigned units to ensure that the desired 95% readiness (JFMM) is maintained.
-Schedules and executes Consolidated Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment readiness assessments (CTRA) IAW JFMM requirements.
-Schedules and coordinates FCA/CCE (Field Calibration Activity Calibration Capability Evaluation) for each assigned unit, and monitors each assigned unit to ensure all required standards,
procedures, documentation and certified personnel are onboard.
-Identifies calibration top priorities and coordinate resolutions.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of Calibration Requirements Lists (CRL), Calibration Recall Inventory System (CRIS).
- Leadership skills as a second level manager or higher with prior experience as a technician and first level supervisor.
- Performance of 3M assessments IAW 3M Manual and JFMM.
- Supervisory experience on a submarine or at a submarine repair activity.

Desired Skills

-Performance of annual 3M tech assists on submarines and tenders.

Education

Requires a High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience

Typically requires at least 8 years relevant experience without a Degree; 3+ years relevant experience with Undergraduate Degree; 2+ years relevant experience with Graduate Degree

Requirements

Requires climbing, bending, crawling, or stooping or other physical demands normally associated with shipboard and industrial repair.

Hazards

Hazards normally associated with shipboard and shipyard industrial environments.
