LinkedIn is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to work within LinkedIn's Search, Network, and Analytics (SNA) team. This candidate will drive execution and adoption of next generation content processing platform, which are highly complex due to it’s horizontal nature and impact on LinkedIn’s engineering.


Responsibilities:

• Establish a strong cadence for planning and synchronization across the Engineering organization while being able to manage large scale projects and manage cross-functional efforts within the team, and manage coordination between teams
• Interact comfortably in one-to-one meetings with individual technical contributors, senior engineering leaders (technology and business), as well as coaching teams of engineers and presenting to large groups
• Create a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, mastery, innovation and learning
• Promote value-driven delivery, continuous learning, and improvement in modern engineering management practices
• Lead efforts to resolve project conflicts and establish appropriate resolution paths with laser-like focus on project execution
• Manage dependencies between multiple projects
• Manage and maintain project backlogs and ensure forward momentum with project execution, assess and mitigate risk exposure
• Manage resource planning and run quarterly roadmap planning
• Mentor individuals in best practices for planning and execution

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of full time program management experience within an engineering or technical department
• B.A./B.S. Degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated experience in defining and executing roadmaps on organizational and company-wide critical programs
• Demonstrated experience in managing programs using best software engineering management practices for initiating, planning, and executing large scale, cross functional programs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have an excellent balance of people, organizational, technical, and communication skills. Interaction and leadership across functional lines through influence is essential
• Strong practical and advanced theoretical understanding of managing the life-cycle of multiple large-scale programs and projects, with attention to detail
• Exposure to Product Management best practices and requirements elicitation is a plus 
• Strong experience and good understanding of software engineering practices 
• Adept at proactive change management
• Familiarity with Agile methods and practices through multiple teams (Scrum and Kanban) 
• MBA or Advanced Technical Degree is a plus
