Sr. Administrative Assistant

San Francisco Bay Area, US - Information Technology and Services, Internet

LinkedIn is looking for administrative professionals to support executives in the Engineering Organization. The ideal candidate for this position must be proactive with excellent problem solving and judgment skills, and must be able to handle details of a highly confidential and critical nature, interact comfortably and skillfully with senior level executives within and outside the company, as well as with customers, vendors and visitors. He/she will be expected to resolve time sensitive issues with a high degree of precision and exhibit strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and the ability to anticipate the needs of the executive’s team are a must. The ability to credibly and competently interact with other executive assistants and managers within/outside of LinkedIn is required. The individual will be expected to apply common sense and execute tasks with minimal direction. Individual must demonstrate ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule, based on the needs of management and the department.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Multiple calendar management responsibility for internal and external meetings–using insight and decision-making skills with regards to managing action items

  • Preparing and managing confidential information. Being privy to such sensitive information there is a need to maintain good practice with integrity and diplomacy

  • Planning/project management skills to coordinate events

  • Documenting meeting minutes as well as managing and tracking action items

  • Managing and reconciling expense reports and purchase requisition submissions

  • Budget tracking and reporting, producing reports as required

  • Providing back-up support for other members of the administrative team

  • Individual must be a team player with excellent multi-tasking skills




Qualifications & Experience:


  • Flexibility, excellent, organizational skills, proactive, being able to stay one step ahead

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to learn new technology, processes, and change directions quickly

  • Ability to be effective and efficient in a fast changing environment

  • Confidence to with senior and executive level management

  • Have a genuine interest in the business and want to understand how we function, why we function, who our clients are, and what our industry is about

  • Ability to create and maintain effective relationships

  • Professionalism, attention to detail, and integrity

  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and multi-task with the ability to juggle major projects

  • Possess excellent organizational and communication skills, be comfortable making decisions, and be comfortable working on initiatives that require confidentiality
