Role Responsibilities

- Analyze mainframe programs to build test cases

- Create Unit test, Integration test, system test , System Integration test and User Acceptance test case specifications

- Conduct Unit test, Integration test, System test, System Integration test and User Acceptance test

- Work with defect management system, defect reporting and tracking defects to closure

- Create test plan and test strategy documents

- Provide onsite/offshore coordination and support

- Review of deliverables



QualificationsRequirements

- Undergraduate degree and 2+ years, or Graduate degree and 0-2 years of application testing experience



- Strong experience in schedulers like Control-M and CA7

- Strong experience in Source Code management tools like Changeman, Endevor and CA-Panvalet

- Strong experience in query languages like SQL

- Strong experience in file comparison tools like Beyond Compare and UTM

- Ability to design, develop, and review test scenarios, test cases, and business requirements

- Ability to analyze mainframe programs and build test scenarios and test cases



Preferences

- Exposure to test estimation & configuration management

- Strong Knowledge in Grape, WX, Telon, DRDA(Distributed Relational Database Architecture), LTERMs (Logical Terminals), Utilities (Syncsort, SMTP uitility), RACF, TDQ/TSQs, Includes, DCLGENS



- Ability to configure test environments, build test data and conduct test execution( System, System integration and User Acceptance)



- Root cause analysis and defect tracking.



- Strong experience in Programming Languages like COBOL, Assembler, Natural, PL/1, JCL, IMS/TM (Online), CICS, QMF, SPUFI, TSO, ISPF, REXX, Mark IV(CA Vision: Builder), File Systems (GDG, VSAM, Seq files etc,.), File Transfer Protocols (FTP, XCOM, NDM etc.), File Management Utilities (FileAid) and MQs



- Exposure to SDLC practices QA methodologies.



- Strong knowledge of using HP suite products-Quality Centre
