As a Legal Intern with a specialization and/or a strong interest in Intellectual Property and Information Technology laws, you will be asked to undertake the following research projects and submit a written report setting out your analysis of each of the said topics. You may also be asked to present to a larger team your final report on these topics:

  • Conduct legal research in the area of regulation of online content and intermediary liability in Singapore and other Southeast Asian countrie(s).
  • Conduct a cross jurisdictional analyses of privacy and payments laws including in Singapore and other SEA countries.
  • Conduct legal review under Singapore contract law on the issue of enforceability of damages, liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution clauses.



  • You will produce high-quality legal research and analysis work in a flexible, fast-paced environment. You will need to demonstrate that you have sound legal judgment, can learn quickly in a fast-paced environment, and can communicate confidently at all levels.

    Responsibilities
    • Related tasks that the in-house Legal Team may request during the Legal Internship may vary by assignment.

    Minimum qualifications
    • Be currently enrolled as a penultimate year student in a recognized LLB course in a law school in Singapore.
    • Be able to complete a minimum 12 weeks full time internship at the Singapore office starting in May/June 2015. We will accommodate your school schedule when determining the start date and duration.

    Preferred qualifications
    • Have excellent legal analysis and research skills.
    • Strong interest in recent developments in the field of Internet related laws and knowledge of online technologies and services.
    • Leadership role at university and/or external associations.
    • Strategic problem solving ability.
    • Excellent analytical skills, with an ability to see both detail and big picture issues.
    • Excellent communication skills in English and organizational skills.
