Title: Summer 2015 Intern - Product Management, Analytics



Location: San Francisco



Salesforce is currently seeking a Product Management Intern to work on our Salesforce Analytics product. We’re looking for a team player who is passionate about building products and bringing them to market.



Responsibilities:




  • Drive the success of our Salesforce Analytics Cloud product by identifying key assets and best practices that enable customer success.



  • Contribute to the growth of the Practice by identifying and leading internal strategic initiatives to grow the consulting practice, serving as an active contributor to the practice knowledge and resource base.



  • Bring a detailed eye for user experience and design to ensure features drive high adoption and customer enthusiasm.



  • Troubleshoot key customer implementation issues and demonstrate ability to drive to successful resolution.



  • Serve as a product evangelist with Marketing, Sales, and the go-to-market organization to help them understand the vision, roadmap and best practices.



  • Interact with customers to get product feedback and identify additional market opportunities.





    Required Skills/Experience:




    • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Product Design, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.



    • Demonstrated experience in gathering and transforming customer needs into an actionable product vision and requirements definition



    • Excellent organizational skills, analytic capabilities, and attention to detail.



    • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. Strong communication skills.



    • Demonstrated experience in the agile software development process.



    • Hands-on experience with shell scripting, Python or Java



    • Hands-on experience in analyzing data, identifying trends and building visualizations



    • Experience with data modeling, logical schema design and data warehouse concepts including techniques for handling semi-structured and unstructured data



    • A particular desire to continually study new technologies and functionality, as well as be involved in projects that push the capabilities of existing technologies



    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience and evangelize best practices



    • Strong presentation skills. Able to effectively present and defend point of view to a variety of audiences.



    • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.





      Desired Skills/Experience:




      • Experience in Product Management, Systems/Business Analysis, Software Engineering or related field.



      • Strong user experience/design sense, with a record of building great products.



      • Experience in designing, developing, and building collaborative or social web technologies, either in the consumer or enterprise space.



      • Experience presenting to executive leadership and handling sensitive customer escalations
