STORAGE SALES CONSULTANT – UK

 

The Sales Consultant's primary role is to lead the technical aspect of the sale of Oracle's storage and related solutions to an account. The Sales Consultant works with the storage sales representative, Oracle specialist teams, partners and the customer to architect, sell, and ensure customer satisfaction of Oracle's hardware solutions.

The Sales Consultant will be part of a highly skilled Central Europe team. The main coverage is Oracle's storage product range of disk storage, tape storage, storage virtualization techniques and management products.

From customer requirements, the Sales Consultant should be able to discuss, architect and propose a platform to deliver the right level of i.e. availability, performance, scalability and cost efficiency.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and qualify sales opportunities
  • Take technical lead role in the sale of storage products and solutions
  • Work with sales representative to develop account plans to define potential business
  • Understand the customer's business and propose solutions to meet their needs
  • Write technical proposals and offers for Oracle hardware solutions.
  • Follow Oracle's Sales Policies and work with defined sales tools
  • Maintain high customer face time
  • Engage with and support and train channel partners in selling hardware products and solutions

CORE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND DOCUMENTED RESULTS REQUIRED:

  • Preferably at Technical Degree level, in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Typically a minimum of 5-10 years proven track record in technical sales
  • Fluent in the English languages
  • Positive references from working with customers and partners
  • Minimum 5 years experience in selling servers and/or storage products
  • Documented top achievements in sales: large wins, performance rating, customer satisfaction
  • Documented training in technical sales
