We have an excellent opportunity for an Healthcare IT Application Development Project Manager in Plano, TX to provide value to our largest and longest serving Healthcare client in our Services’ business unit. This client continues to grow and thrive, and we are looking for individual contributors who can assist Dell with meeting deliverables and client expectations. You will work with a fast-paced global leader in IT and have the ability to learn from the best and brightest in the industry. We are only considering local applicants at this time.
Roles Responsibilities
– Managing the IS integration of HIE, EHR, and OCCs at current client’s ongoing operation
– Project Management rigor to artifact creation
– Quality planning and management
– Status reporting, communications planning and management
– Scope management include WBS development and deliverable definition
– Project schedule development and management
– Change Management – Project, Systems, and People
– Stakeholder Management – ability to articulate project progression to the executive sponsor level
– Project closing activities including operational transition planning and execution
– Be a leader and trusted advisor championing project needs to deliver predictable and repeatable project results
– Balances the art and science of project management to scale and leverage techniques and processes efficiently
– Maintain strong focus on customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional project performance
– Coordinate work teams consisting of Dell Services / client / vendor blended teams
– Direct project planning team in preparing project planning deliverables
– Manages critical path and any relevant risk that would materially impact it
– Incorporate risk mitigation strategy and contingency plan
– Manage standards, procedures, and practices for recordkeeping of contractual agreements
– Perform analysis that reflects actual vs. planned variances
QualificationsRequirements
– 8-10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
– 5+ years IT project management experience in healthcare software application development and proven track record of successful project delivery
– Experience leading project teams through all phases of the standard project lifecycle: Feasibility, Initiation, Planning, Monitoring and Controlling and Closing
– Experience working within both a project-centric and project matrix environments – Experience within all PMI project phases and knowledge areas: communication, cost, human resource, scope, risk, time, quality, integration, and procurement
– Excellent written and verbal communications skills
– Undergraduate degree and 4-6 years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 2-4 years relevant experience
Preferences
– PMP certification; PMI membership and participation; PM3 Level 2 Certification for internal candidates only
– Experience working within an established Program Management Office (PMO) environment
– Experience managing Health Exchange Projects
– Advanced university degree
