Role Overview
An Operational Intelligence Engineer facilitates business activities by providing insight into situations related to inefficiencies, opportunities and threats. Operational data is gathered, interpreted and displayed to management so key decisions can be made. Being able to interpret and analyze large data sets is a must. A passion for efficiency and excellence in service delivery contributes to the employee's overall success in this role. The ability to work in a team environment with little direction from management is desired.
Role Responsibilities
· Create tools to support internal efforts and increase efficiency
· Create reports, dashboards and alerts to provide situational awareness
· Provide high-level support to security analysis team
QualificationsRequirements
· Expert knowledge of Perl scripting language
· Expert knowledge of web development languages (html, javascript, jquery)
· Expert knowledge of MySQL databases, database design and data mining
concepts
· Strong knowledge of Linux OS
Preferences
· Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
· 2-3 years’ work experience in a technical Network Security service role.
· Knowledge of Java programming language
· Strong knowledge of and experience with regular expressions
