Enterprise Server Portfolio Business Manager Asia-Pacific & Japan
As an Enterprise Server Portfolio Business Manager, you would be responsible for overseeing the analysis and evaluation of key market information and customer requirements to define server product strategies and identify product opportunities to expand market share.
The position requires competencies including command skills, problem solving, organization agility, customer focus, outstanding verbal and oral presentation skills, ability to work within team and strong process orientation. Proven functional / technical ability and project management skills required. A good understanding of the APJ demography and business dynamics would be essential.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
• Evaluates in-depth market analysis and leads business case for optimization of existing products/solutions
• Develops business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for solutions
• Maintains current status of customer requirements for existing and future products
• Partners with product management, supply chain and pricing teams to ensure accurate forecasting, lead-time estimating, and pricing for products under management
• Manages product launches to ensure sales force readiness and optimize P&L impact of product transitions
• Conducts competitive analysis to determine appropriate positioning and product messaging
• Oversees and drives products and solutions through the release process including business case and resource requirements
• Identifies, evaluates and recommends marketing opportunities consistent with product line and solution objectives
Business Management
• Define quarterly business plans for the segment/vertical, which deliver results to forecast
• Provide accurate input into planning process to ensure growth and success
• Communicate key metrics to sales teams and marketing organizations
• Collaborate with Storage and Networking counterparts, driving greater integration in planning and execution for Enterprise solutions
• Drive insights focused on expanding the base of customers buying servers
• Analyze customer purchasing behavior to support the establishment of growth plans
• Support pipeline growth and closure with the Sales organization
• Integrate with marketing team to identify growth programs and execute against them
Product Planning
• Provide direct input into planning discussions around future server products
• Provide periodic overviews and summaries to the segment/verticals and marketing leaders, with guidance on strategic go-forward direction
• Collect and submit ‘voice of customer’ feedback
• Cascade new product information & updates to segments in a timely manner
Sales Support
• Provide the most effective and efficient support to the Sales & Marketing organization
• Provide customers the best experience through visits, executive briefings and other engagements
• Develop & deliver robust training thorough mandatory webcasts, lunch & learns, product call, and other forums
• Deliver concise, high quality, relevant communications – written and verbal - to the sales organization to improve selling effectiveness
Qualifications
• 5 years of Enterprise product management/marketing experience with a track record of delivering measurable results.
• Good understanding of server/storage/networking technologies & solutions.
• Excellent spoken and written skills, outstanding presentation skills. Exposure to present in a senior management environment.
• Strong project management skills to manage a wide range of programs and thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment, proactively setting the business direction + managing daily deliverables.
• Proven track record of working within a geographically dispersed, multi-functional team.
• Good organizational agility, command skills and interpersonal skills to work effectively across functions and lines of business in a global virtual organization.
