Salesforce.com Data.com Solution and Advisory Services team is seeking a Technical Solution Architect.



Technical Solution Architect, Data.com



We are seeking innovative and passionate Technical Solution Architects who share our vision of leveraging the power of effective data management and bringing the power of cloud computing to enterprises. The Technical Solution Architect is responsible for successfully designing and managing the delivery of cloud based data management solutions and technologies. These technologies include--but are not necessarily limited to Salesforce.com, Data.com, Force.com and Database.com APIs, Apex/Visualforce, Amazon Web Services, Heroku, mobile development technologies, and integration technologies. It also requires that the Technical Solution Architect maintain an ongoing comprehensive understanding of the cloud-computing ecosystem.



Responsibilities:



Work closely with Solution Engagement Managers, Functional Solution Architects and directly with clients to architect technology solutions to meet client needs.



Have ownership of the solution from end to end and be responsible for architecting and documenting a technical solution based on project requirements and industry best practices.



Lead and mentor the technical teams on the project.



Enforce sound development practices and ensure the quality delivery of enterprise solutions.



Serve as a trusted advisor to the client.



Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams, sharing common use cases, participating in pre-release test activities.



Collaborate with Sales Engineers in developing demos that can showcase business solutions and capabilities that can be enabled by the services team.



Contribute excellence in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.



Required Skills/Experience:



Bachelors degree required in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business. Masters degree preferred.



8+ years experience in developing technology solutions. Must have hands on practical experience with IDE tools such as Eclipse. Demonstrated experience of designing and developing through configuration driven reusable frameworks.



3+ years experience in leading project development teams, in positions of increasing responsibility, in the delivery of business consulting and systems development.



Ability to organize and lead client sessions that result in clear requirements and technical design, even when working with non-technical members of client teams.



Proven ability to design, optimize and integrate business processes across disparate systems.



Demonstrated understanding of data management and data integration best practices and patterns.



Experience with data integration and analysis



Experience with integration (EAI, ETL, EII) tools.



Experience developing and deploying custom solutions, including but not limited to change sets and managed packages.



Demonstrated knowledge and experience with design review, testing, deployment best practices.



Experience overseeing and mentoring team members.



Have thorough understanding of OOP, design patterns, and enterprise application integration.



Excellent analysis skills and the ability to develop processes and methodologies



Excellent written and verbal presentation skills, and ability to present to technical and business audiences.



Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies.



Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure.



Must be able to travel up to 50%



Desired Skills/Experience:



Experience with a professional consulting organization (e.g. Big 5 consulting).



Experience with Master Data Management, Data Quality, and Analytics technology and solutions.



Extraordinary client facing skills with the ability to solve the clients’ needs and manage scope in a positive way.

Ability to generate client sign-off and commitment to these designs and the solution.
