Insights Tools Program Manager, Marketing Solutions



LinkedIn’s Marketing Solutions Insights team is transforming the online marketing landscape with rich, powerful and unique data, insights and research capabilities. We have one goal: create the insights that power the world’s most effective sales and marketing.

Role description:

As the program manager for our insights tools you will be in charge of turning the insights that our client services, analytics and research teams create into fast, intuitive, scalable tools that are accessible to our sales force. Success in this role will have a massive impact on our ability to prospect, close, fulfill and renew deals. This is a key and very visible role in the business.

A successful candidate will multi-task well on a number of different projects and will enjoy wearing a lot of different hats. Specifically, they will:




  • Define the direction of our insights tools platform

  • Promote the tools and train the sales force on their use

  • Act as project manager and primary client to the business analytics team who build the tools

  • Ensure high quality and timely delivery of new tools

  • Work with key stakeholders to define the insights that will have the greatest impact

  • Manage communications among senior management, sales and business analytics around usability, data delivery, up time, etc.

  • Align road map with peers that perform a similar role for LinkedIn’s other business lines


Requirements


  • Very strong background in data-driven decision making

  • Significant prior experience with advertising or social marketing

  • 3+ years of Program/Product/Project Management experience

  • Salesforce experience a plus


Technical Requirements


  • Data skills: excellent Excel and SQL skills, with a preference for Hadoop experience

  • Program/Product Management or engineering experience on web applications highly desirable

  • Tableau or other data visualization tool knowledge a strong plus
