Job Description
Dell Inc.'s wholly owned subsidiary Dell Services Federal Government seeks a qualified Security Engineer to implement, support, and evaluate information security tools and services. The qualified candidate will also be responsible for identifying security issues and risks, and developing mitigation plans as well as architect and design security tools and services. Other responsibilities include:
*Monitor, detect, respond to the report, and resolve network security events/incidents/anomalies;
*Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies;
*Develop and interpret security policies and procedures;
*Develop and deliver training materials and perform general security awareness and specific security technology training;
*Participate in security compliance efforts;
*Lead or participate in projects that require security architecture, engineering, design, and testing;
*Implement, manage, maintain, and upgrade the security tools, currently including Triumfant, McAfee Endpoint Protection, Nessus Vulnerability Scanner, Tennable Security Center, NetForensics, EnCase, Fortinet Router and Analyzer, IDS/IPS tools, Web Security Testing Software, and WireShark, PointSec Encryption.
*Create, review, and update CSIRT SOPs;
*Review, validate, and approve proposed network changes in accordance with the agency security policies;
*Subject matter expert (SME) on Linux, Windows, or networking related issues for the Operations Security Group;
*Coordinate and collaborate with the other support teams in troubleshooting network/system related issues;
*Participate in Tier II and tier III security operations support
Required Skills
*6+ years general IT experience,
-3 years relevant experience in Cyber Security and network engineering
*Hands-on IT/Security project experience;
*Working in a SOC setting;
*Advanced Understanding of ePO and its modules
*Familiar with IDS/IPS, and Log management, packet capturing,
*SPAM filtering, and other standard security tools;
*Hands-on Windows and Linux (SUSE and Red Hat or other flavors of Linux) experience;
*Possess basic knowledge of networking architecture and protocols: LAN/WAN, routing/switching, ACLs, TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, etc.;
*Familiar with FISMA compliance requirements and other related regulations and NIST publications;
*CISSP certification desirable.

3+ years cyber security experience with undergraduate degree or 2+ years cyber security experience with graduate degree
