Dell Software Federal Account Manager – Enterprise Data Protection

We are currently looking for an Enterprise Data Protection Account Manager to join our Public Sector team selling to the Federal Government. This role is based out of the Washington DC metro area based out of the Reston, VA office.

This is a senior sales position responsible for selling the entire Dell Software Data Protection portfolio which includes software and hardware. Individuals in this role should possess a deep understanding of Backup - Recovery, and Archival solutions. Additionally, the individual should have field sales experience selling to Federal Government customers.



Role Responsibilities



- Prospecting, finding, developing and closing opportunities through the entire Sales Cycle.



- Developing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers



- Creating and implementing account strategy



- Recognizing customer business problems and driving resources to address opportunities



- Obtaining customer commitment and delivering a total enterprise solution



- Maintaining current revenue and focusing on identifying new opportunities to increase market share and revenue growth



- Leveraging various internal Dell resources to build and grow pipeline



- Working with Channel Partners to increase opportunity size and expedite closure



Qualifications



Qualifications



- BS/BA Degree

- Minimum of 7 years of successful experience in a quota driven sales capacity



Preferences



- 5+ years successful experience selling enterprise software, preferably Backup Recovery / Disaster Recovery, and Archival solutions

- 5+ years of Federal Sales experience

- Exceptional written and oral communication skills

- Knowledge of solution and value-based selling techniques

- Ability to sell to high-level executives using articulate value propositions

- Detail oriented – need the ability to follow up and deliver on commitments; set and manage customer expectations

- Successful candidates will have experience in managing full sales cycles

- Goal oriented team player, and a self-starter who is highly motivated to succeed

- Knowledge of solution and value-based selling techniques

- Must demonstrate proven successful track record

- Strong presentation, account development / management, and forecasting skills

- Experienced in computer applications including MS Office, CRM tools (Salesforce.com)
