Documentum Administrator and Suport

Singapore, SG - Computer Hardware, Computer Software, Information Technology and Services

The support analyst will work in MTS RTB2 team, mainly providing technical support for Documentum at Level 2.



Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:



• Setup, upgrade, migrate docbase, connection brokers, webtops & Fast instances.



• Capacity, risk & availability analysis for all the documentum instances.



• Liaise with various teams for planned work.



• Participation in incident & problem management.



• Attend to users' queries to help them understand documentum techs for their projects.



• Troubleshoot issues with documentum instances.



• Handle escalations from level 1 team & sometimes escalations from end users.



• General support coverage is from 06:30 AM Mon to 06:30 AM Sat.



• Team work on 24X5.5 basis to provide above coverage. There are 3 shifts/day of 8 hrs each and shifts are based upon pre-defined rota.



• Besides above coverage we provide on-call support over the w/e. Some times Level-2 resource ( e.g. our team ) is required to work over the weekend. This is based upon pre-defined rota.



• To provide above stated coverage all public holidays, on-call support, dedicated weekend support etc are mandatory paid overtime work.



• Monitoring, and ensuring appropriate backup of the instances.



• Prepare, maintain documents required for support.



• Participate in process improvement, knowledge sharing within the team & across streams.



High level view of Documentum tasks that candidate must have exposure to:



• Installation, upgradation & migration of documentum instances.



• Installation & Configuration of Connection brokers.



• Installation, upgration & migration of FAST indexer instances.



• Installation and Configuration of Webtops and Documentum Administrators.



• Execute administration tasks using DA.



• Configure and manage content storage & repository database.



• Configure Jobs and Methods.



• Installation of Documentum Applications.



• Use DQL & API commands to configure and administer the docbase instances.



Qualifications



MANDATORY AND DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE



Mandatory Experience & Skills:



• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.



• Computer Science/Math/Science/Engineering preferred.



• 4+ years supporting experience (level 2/3 type support).



• Proven technical ability



• Experience and keen interest in process improvement and automation



• Perl, Shell scripting skills



• 2+ years Experience must in technical administration of either/all of the following products:



o EMC Documentum Administration including in version 6.5.



Desired Experience & Skills:



• Database Knowledge (Oracle) including experience in executing SQL and DQL.



• Should be well versed with UNIX env and should be good at scripting.



• UNIX admin exp is not required but must know how to check configuration & performance in Solaris. Example of some commands involved here are: nslookup, ypcat, mount, prstat, vmstat, top, lsof etc.



• Network admin tasks aren't required but must have good understanding of networking and networking related commands e.g. traceroute, ifconfig.



• Experience in development / support of Java based applications and documentum applications.



Additional Skills:



Ability to work flexibly on occasions (to connect with overseas teams in different time zones)
