Manager, Account Management
The mission of the Account Management team is to deliver world-class customer experiences that help our clients understand the value of LinkedIn’s Marketing Solution and drive renewals and upsells.
We’re a global team of 130 managing $350M revenue in 2015. We are a fast-paced, high performing sales team that works in partnership with Operations, Product, Marketing and Insights to drive customer success, bring new products to life and help them succeed in market. We educate and consult clients on the importance of content marketing. We strive to be thought leaders in the industry and invaluable partners to our customers and the field.
We are looking for someone who can help us raise the bar on team impact and operations. We also need someone willing to roll up their sleeves and help us build. Finally, we need someone with a global perspective who can manage across regional differences.
At a high level, responsibilities will include leading a multinational team of AMs, business-level internal consulting projects for the EMEA, and helping to drive overall team strategy, focus, and scale.
Primary objectives of the AM Manager:
Lead a multiregional team and drive forward strategic and operational priorities for EMEA & global AM team to accelerate the growth, scale, and adoption of Linkedin Marketing Solutions business.
Manager oversees a team of Account Managers (AMs) based in multiple regions who partner with Account Directors (ADs), as well as Campaign Managers (CMs) and Campaign Planners (CPs). The former are senior new-business sellers (ADs) and the latter (CPs and CMs) specialize in media planning and execution. Together, an AM, AD, CP, and CM form a sales pods that works together in a fast-paced environment, towards a common goals but each managing separate responsibilities in the customer journey.
Leadership:
- Become an expert in our business, and independently identify and execute on opportunities to improve our operations and grow our revenue
- Lead and inspire a team of account managers: invest heavily in their career development, coach them to perform to high standards, and empower them to drive impact
- Be an essential thought partner to, key supporter of, and champion for our leadership team
- Own key relationships with Sales, Product, Insights, Marketing, Sales Effectiveness and more, contributing Account Management voice and expertise to support and influence their cross-functional work
- Effectively drive initiatives from beginning to end for Account Management business, involving and leading cross-functional teams and experts in the field as necessary to achieve results
- Live and breathe Linkedin culture and values—and inspire others to follow
Leverage:
- Develop, hone and manage metrics and dashboards with our sales ops partners to monitor our business and identify trends, strengths, gaps
- Leverage partners in Marketing, Product, and Ad Operations to dramatically simplify our product offerings and enable massive adoption and scale
- Support global efforts to monitor and reduce churn
- Support sharing of global best practices across field team, through trainings, tools, and more
- Grow business through successful renewals, upsells and cross-sells of your team
- See Account Management initiatives through from end to end -- from ideation, to planning, to execution- while proactively measuring and sharing results and impact of your efforts
- Receive high NPS scores from team you manage and their customers
- Achieve superior satisfaction scores from key stakeholders by building strong relationships and developing a consistent cadence of communication on key performance indicators
- Increase the penetration of media and new products among LinkedIn’s corporate clients leading to larger deal sizes, increased retention of enterprise accounts, and deeper product penetration
Key Selection Criteria:
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience
- Team management experience (5+ years) with practice in development and coaching
- Proven project management skills: from strategy development and direction-setting through to flawless execution; working cross-functionally to drive success
Preferred Qualifications
- Digital media, marketing and/or product management experience
- Team management of remote team
- French, German, Spanish or Dutch a plus
- Strategic consulting experience (2+ years) strongly desired, with proven track record of being able to diagnose, structure and solve key business issues
- Thrives in fast-paced environment, and can embrace rapid change and innovation
- Ability to prioritize efforts, with a passion for driving excellence and results
- Strong executive-level communication skills
- MBA from top-tier business school strongly desired
