The Search Cluster Engineering team at LinkedIn develops systems that ensure continuous operation of search infrastructure at LinkedIn. We are looking for an Engineering Manager with experience in both building large scale distributed systems and operating them in 24/7 production environment. Our high-power team develops in C++, Java, and Python. This team operates our systems 24/7 and handles thousands of queries per second from users all over the world.
If you know how to push a 100GB file to 3000 machines across 3 datacenters efficiently and you understand how to design a distributed system so it's easy to understand what it is doing at any given moment, then let's talk! The ideal candidate will have experience in both building large scale distributed systems and operating them in 24/7 production environment. This person will play a critical role in developing a long term technology roadmap, manage the performance and career development of a small team of engineers, and own significant parts of this infrastructure, which will require design, architecture, and coding.
