Demand Supply Sr. Advisor

Responsible for leading forecasting processes for South Asia region to develop and execute end-to-end sales & operations planning. Primary focus is on demand planning and forecasting, which involves extensive collaboration with regional Marketing, PLM, Sales Operations, Supply Chain , and Finance counterparts.

Successful candidate will have the ability to lead a cross-functional team of technical and non-technical colleagues across the region/segment while developing the most accurate forecasts to support dynamic customer needs. The knowledge gained sets a stage to understand Dell’s forecasting and planning operations and provides a potential pathway to formal direct line leadership responsibilities.



PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



· Ownership of the country/segment level finished goods demand planning to enable robust short, medium and long term forecasts, enabling the business to achieve the highest potential forecast accuracy across the associated product lines.



· Participation in weekly outlook review meetings including active engagement with cross-functional team members on assessing the current state of the business and develop / implement bridge plans to ensure the business achieves its P&L objectives



· Provide clear reporting on actual business trends and analytics which include demand / attainment and forecast accuracy on finished goods configurations; providing recommendations to the Marketing and Sales teams in a timely and effective manner to minimize / eliminate E&O exposure to the business



· Work with Sales/Marketing team (Product, Brand, Merchandising) on the timing / availability of new products for inclusion in the demand forecast



· Analyze demand management processes, assess and challenge current demand inputs, identify gaps (such as accuracy), innovate, and drive improvement on demand-sensing capabilities



· Actively engage and collaborate with team members to align forecasts on non-finished goods supply chains.



· Analyze and maintain reporting procedures to measure forecasting accuracy against actual sales reporting back and driving improvement plans with internal stakeholders.



· Determine the key planning milestones and transition plans for each product (both new and refresh cycles) – based on alignment with product team



· (responsibility should lie in GO)Provide demand shaping recommendations, and communication of this information to key internal business partner



QUALIFICATION / MINIMUM TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS



1. Post graduate studies in Business Management with specialization in Supply Chain Management / Operations Research / Planning.



2. 10+ years of working experience in Finished Goods Planning under complex business environments.



3. Supply Chain or Business planning, experience in Electronics or Semi-conductor or Retail industry.



4. APICS certification will be an added advantage.



5. Able to influence decisions at all senior management levels.



6. Strong business acumen and analytical skills and easily able to relate actions to business results



7. Good understanding of S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) elements,



8. Proven track record in delivering change, process improvement, and root cause analytics



9. Strong written, verbal ,presentation and interpersonal skills



10. Able to drive recommendations that will influence decisions cross functionally



11. Able to work independently



12. Experience with Oracle Planning system will be a plus
