You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. As a Project Manager for the Outside Plant (OSP) Build Team, you will be responsible for the health of the program itself, managing the execution of organizational projects allowing other team members to focus on their areas of responsibility. You will ensure that Google Fiber has a coordinated deployment operation based out of the Google metro program office. You will be an expert in our plans for deployment with detailed knowledge of our constantly evolving schedule and deployment techniques, and you will provide both specific and broader solutions for improvement.
Responsibilities
- Run cross-functional meetings, identifying action items and driving to successful completion.
- Build positive relationships and trust over time through strong on-time delivery of projects, high quality continuous innovation, and by exceeding expectations.
- Analyze data using logic and reason to make sound decisions/recommendations.
- Develop and prepare project documentation, improve processes, and track reports to communicate details of project requirements and production.
Minimum qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with Primavera P6 and other reporting/scheduling tools.
- Project management training from an accredited source.
- Willing to relocate for future assignments.
Preferred qualifications
- Project Management certification.
- PMO Experience.
- Experience in Network Deployment Projects and in developing and training project managers.
- Demonstrated success in large challenging projects and demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution competencies.
- Proficient in using documents, spreadsheets, and other related software.
- Flexible work schedule that may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
