RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, enhance talent systems and integrations to connect talents solutions
- Spearhead new development and design enhancements, and also maintain LinkedIn’s proprietary talent solutions.
- Analyze and mine talent data to drive insights, including areas of social network analysis and web analytics.
- Create insightful automated dashboards and visualizations to track key business metrics.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- BS degree in CS, CE or EE
- 3+ years working experience: Object and data modeling; J2EE/Java and web-based application development
- Integration design and development using ETL tools, Web Services, SOAP, and middleware; XML XSLT and SQL; J2EE application server
- Front-end web development experience in a fast-paced environment
- Skills of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, jQuery, Ajax, node.js and MySQL
- Experience with database and query optimization, debugging, QA functions, user defined functions, views, indexes etc.
- Knowledge of scripting language such as PHP, Python or Ruby.
- Familiarity with open-source databases, tools and variants (such as Postgres, MySQL etc.), understand the software architecture.
- Web product development/management knowledge, especially understanding web tracking and implementing right testing framework is a big plus
- Highly self-driven, execution-focused, with a willingness to do “what it takes” to deliver results as you will be expected to rapidly cover a considerable amount of ground
- Must be able to work cross-functionally
- Above all else, must be equal parts data-driven and results-driven
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated large scale project management and implementation expertise
- Understanding of development methodology and actual experience writing functional and technical design specifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in person, by telephone, and with large teams
- Strong prior technical, development background in either Services or Engineering – 3+ years of hands on solution design experience; experience developing applications on top of platforms
- ERP and platform configuration implementation experience (Workday, SAP, Siebel, Oracle, Peoplesoft, etc.)
- The candidate should be comfortable with modern web based application technologies and be able to mentor and work with technical team members
- Demonstrated experience resolving complex business and application problems; performance analysis a big plus
- Supply chain management, CRM, or pricing experience is advantageous, Workday integration experience a plus
