Description: Cloud Services is Oracle's hosting environment where external customers can offload their IT operations to better focus on their own core competencies. Cloud Services provides the infrastructure, security, and administration for these customers. This individual is responsible for the daily activities of configuration, maintenance, patching, updating, and troubleshooting hosted Windows Servers; Managing IT infrastructure of Oracle customers, working towards process improvement and automation of IT management tasks; Designing customer specific solutions; Standardizing Windows environment; Third party product evaluations; and, designing and implementing solutions with multiple Microsoft native tools.
Brief Posting Description: Define, design, and implement network communications and solutions within a fast-paced, leading edge database/applications company.
Detailed Description: Perform performance trend analysis and manage the server/network capacity. React to potential problems using automation, scheduling, and monitoring tools -- escalating to management where appropriate. Participate in configuration and implement technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the system. Responsible for support documentation as well.
Job Requirements: Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. 2-4 years of related experience in a medium to large network distributed and computing environment. BS in Computer Science or related field.
