Senior Operations Manager, Global Sales EffectivenessMission:
The Senior Operations Manager, Global Sales Effectiveness will be responsible for the operational and strategic excellence to enable the Sales Effectiveness organization to become a high-impact, scalable, and client-focused partner to our Global Sales Organization. Specifically the focus will be on four key areas:
- Partnering with Sales Effectiveness leadership team and sales management to identify and implement operational efficiencies to improve the way we deliver our product and services to LinkedIn’s Global Sales Organization.
- Ensuring an effective, easily-accessible, world-class Sales Effectiveness experience focused on innovative uses of media, technology, and instructional design best practices.
- Develop and build our process around content development, build/buy/partner model, metrics and project management based on industry standards and best practice.
- Recruit, develop and lead a diverse team of internal business teams with a focus on employee engagement, fostering a dynamic team culture and transforming our employees own career opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Lead a dynamic, diverse, world-class team of Sales Effectiveness, operations and learning professionals.
- Create a strategy and 2-3yr strategic roadmap for achieving the operational excellence for the team. The roadmap includes core Sales Effectiveness services and processes, learning technology systems, benchmarks, financials and governance.
- Partner with HR L&D on learning systems and strategy in order to drive the Sales Effectiveness /Sales business requirements of shared learning tools.
- Define the processes and tools used for design, development and execution of Sales Effectiveness programs.
- Drive innovation and incubation of new learning modalities through evaluation, piloting, and scaling learning solutions that impact and align to business initiatives and needs.
- Lead a Program Management Office (PMO) focused on executing industry-best processes and systems for the operational support of Learning and Talent Development including:
- Financial Management
- Vendor selection, measurement and Management
- Learning Measurement analysis and reporting
- Learning Delivery Logistics Coordination with the Delivery team
- Learning Management System Management requirements and catalog management
- Ensures that effective change management and communication strategies are in place to champion the team, programs, and offerings.
Required Qualifications:
- Work Experience: 8 to 10+ years of professional experience along with a successful track record of managing people and teams.
- Strong operational and strategic capabilities are a must.
- Prior management consulting or business strategy/operations roles preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required. MBA degree is a plus.
- Leads with Vision and Purpose: Communicates a compelling and inspired vision and sense of common purpose. Talks about possibilities beyond today. Create milestones and symbols to rally support for the vision.
- Leads Process Management: Can design processes necessary to get things done effectively and efficiently. Understands how to separate and combine tasks into efficient work flow. Can simplify complex processes. Can define inputs and outputs and manage cross-functionally to comply.
- Builds Total Work Systems: Can define and deliver to the organization common work processes and systems to deliver the highest quality products and services that meet the needs of internal clients. Experience re-engineering processes from scratch.
- Leads in Decentralized Environments:Previous leadership success in highly decentralized organizations, which require collaboration, consensus, and a high degree of influence to be successful.
- Executes Effectively: Successful track record planning and execution. Clearly assigns responsibility for tasks and decisions. Sets clear goals and measure, monitors process, progress, and results. Designs feedback processes into work to always stay on track.
- Interpersonal and Organizational Effectiveness: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with all levels within the firm. Experience establishing the right communications vehicles to ensure real-time and close connection to business leaders, organizational priorities and changes.
- Leads and Influences People: A leader who has a track record for attracting, coaching and growing his/her people. A talent magnet.
- Leads Change: Successful record of leading organizational change, especially in learning and talent management.
- Works Effectively with Executives:Can build relationships, sell and deal comfortably with executives. Can craft approaches that are perceived as positive and successful. Knows how to deliver to build credibility.
- Builds Effective Teams: Selects the right people for the team. Creates strong shared purpose and clear roles and responsibilities. Defines success in terms of the whole team.
